1. A Potent Biocide
Chlorine dioxide is used chiefly for the disinfection of drinking water. It’s more effective than using chlorine.
- It successfully eliminates Giardia lamblia and Cryptosporidium, the main causes of water-borne diseases.
- It can also be employed in large-scale projects like irrigation purposes, cooling towers, and even swimming pools.
- It’s also a well-known virucide and is effective against many disease-causing viruses like influenza, measles, etc. on non-porous hard surfaces.
2. Mouth Wash
