Chlorine Dioxide & Chemical Dosing Calculator

Are you interested in calculating the operational expense of running a chlorine dioxide generator? We have provided a calculator below which informs you with the amount of chemical needed to generate a pound of chlorine dioxide, along with the overall chemical requirements to treat water at your facility. Scroll to the bottom of the page to view Instructions.

Instructions for Use

To use the calculator below, follow these steps:
  1. Identify which Generator calculator is needed for your application. The table below shows typical water treatment applications, along with the matching Chlorine Dioxide Generator.
  2. Scroll down to the Calculator. Select the tab for the generator matching your application.
  3. Enter the Gallons per Minute your system processes.
  4. Enter the ClO2 Concentration Required for your water treatment needs (Provided Dose ranges of PPM concentration are provided in the previous Application Table).
  5. Enter the price of chemical per pound you currently receive into the calculator. We have provided placeholder prices you can edit.

You will receive outputs of the Total Chemical Cost per Year, which will estimate operating expense of a chlorine dioxide generator for your water system.
